Not having insurance and having endometriosis is a scary thing. When I had thought about being a "study participant" I was nervous wreck and I didn't want to be a "lab rat". However, I decided to listen to what the folks at precision trials had to say about their study and make a decision from there. When I arrived I was pleased to see the comfortable waiting room and the friendly reception staff so, I forged on. After a few moments I was greeted by the study cordinator, Lisa, who is amazing at her job. Lisa made me feel immediately comfortable by explaining the entire study I was interested in. She informed me that by my participation in the study I would be compensated for my time and receive study drug. She also told me that they could work around my work schedule. Not only would I be benefiting but, other women with endometreosis would benefit by a new drug that could relieve their symptoms. I was all in. Today, I have been involved in several studies hosted by precision trials. I have recieved excellent medical treatment and I feel like part of a family that actually cares about my well being.
